The return states
Those who read my columns know my taste for history. I think there is much to learn including the history of warfare: those times when people are struggling to survive and where energies are collected in a single goal. This does not prevent most wars end with a winner and a loser. The rhetoric and the resolution does not prevent defeat.
There is a special moment when victory (or loss) appears: what I call the "momentum." For example, during World War II, when Allied bombing did more damage in Germany and is accompanied by loss of aircraft and airmen increasingly limited. This was not a foregone conclusion.
Currently, the western states live their own "momentum" economy. Turning is near. The financial collapse is underway and it is unclear what can stop it. The only open question is the order of the fallen in the trap: probably small before the big fall is the premium size.
Large companies seem in perfect health: they reacted strongly by slashing their workforce and cutting spending. Only downside at the moment, consumption remains sluggish. Unemployed people making poor consumers.
While life continues on credit, the system is held and the question does not arise: as told bankers on Wall Street, we must continue to dance as the orchestra cheek. But everything changes when the credit stops, is that China decides to stop lending or a major credit rating agencies gave the signal.
The financial collapse of Western states lead to a paradigm shift: just as the triumph of communism led to burst her disappearance, I do not think that things are still there. States engaged in growing difficulties with their population once unable to continue their lives on credit (mass unemployment, insecurity, poverty or misery) take drastic measures to repatriate wealth and save what can be.
Who will pay this upheaval: the shareholders and private companies. Those who oppose it will pay with their lives (in the example of what is happening in Russia today. It is extremely easy for a state that has by definition of the kingly power to arrest troublemakers. Those who play the Thurs will open their new rent-seeking).
That day, governments will implement policies and means of survival which will break the system: it is an immutable law of nature: no body accepts his death without a fight, and fight in this State - who make the law among them - will necessarily have the last word.
My predictions: The End of Globalization, the return of borders, the end of the euro, stopping the free trade and authoritarian regimes and closed in some of the major Western countries.

Invitation 3rd Birthday
Quit your job!
Do not take me literally, I simply entitled this post the translation of a series of articles that you can find on the site of Etsy , entitled "Quit your day job "
Do not take me literally, I simply entitled this post the translation of a series of articles that you can find on the site of Etsy , entitled "Quit your day job "
I find these articles very interesting because they involve interview a designer who sells her handmade items on Etsy and has managed to leave her job to devote himself to his shop, what many of us dream ...
So I asked permission from the head of this series if I could translate these interviews to allow the French access to these valuable data for all those who are seriously considering one day live their passion . MaryMary accepted with great enthusiasm and I take this opportunity to thank her.
How did you start in the market for hand-made?
At some level, I always made-up things. When I was little, they were accessories for my dolls' house with pieces of cardboard, empty spools of thread and fabric pieces. In my teens I "created" clothing from drawing I begged my grandmother to interpret in modern clothes and notebooks. I watched my mother (who continues to proclaim that she can not sew on a model) to create sumptuous costumes for my theater class university and my big sister who can do everything from scratch. I grew up in a house where the expertise of women was an important part of life.
Tell us about your previous employment status and the path that led you to Etsy.
Before Me and Matilda , I spent many years in the management of veterinary hospitals. Like many people, having a child has completely changed my life. I continued to do this demanding job until the desire to change his life becomes an obsession. Somewhere along this journey, I rediscovered sewing and I developed a real passion for creating with fabric -that is what eventually led me to Etsy.
Did you prepare for this transition to full time?
My experience in business management was very helpful. Honestly, I did not get the chance to prepare myself as much as I would have wished. A series of events of life related to health and the enormous difficulty of reconciling motherhood with a full-time work pushed me to quit my job .
With Looking back, I spent years looking for sources of return and study the market without really knowing what to do exactly this information. When my son asked me a tie like his father, I found that there was really no choice for a young boy. At that time, there were only a handful of general stores that offered a line rather boring tie for boys his age. The seed of the idea really started to germinate after my son spilled a large drop of blueberry syrup on his tie, ruining them for later use. I started making shirts with fun prints for my son, and I soon received requests from friends who wanted the same . Shortly after, Me and Matilda was born.

What are your best advice in terms of marketing?
- Take good pictures. is a process that constantly refines me because I am not a photographer. I know that my ability to take beautiful photos are limited by my simple digital camera, so I tried to take good photos with a clear representation of my products. It was a thrill to wake up one morning and find one of my photos on the blog of a national magazine about marriage !
- List Articles regularly on Etsy is also a good idea. I try to keep a certain freshness and add new items regularly.
- Blogs have been wonderful in supporting my business. I was fortunate to have my neckties and bowties featured in several blogs and magazines .
- Join a team. I joined the team Etsykids , and the team Etsymom and also that of CAST . I'm so busy that it is difficult to be as active as I was, but I try to put my "tags" (keywords) correctly and make "Treasury" with other members of my team as often as possible .
Other experiments less successful?
I already said that I owe much to the blogging community . Let me add here that I never had many benefits to send my articles to bloggers for objective criticism (we call this practice "review" among Anglo-Saxons). I noticed that in most cases, bloggers who loved my products really looking nice pictures and interesting content for their readers, and they were not asking for my products for real analysis. It's just my own experience, and I certainly will not say that this is not true for other shops.
What was your article or your collection the most popular so far?
The Big Dot neckties (ties knots and big dots) are very well. They were popular from the start and has found continued success after being published in magazines and on websites. Since I added other lines to tie knots and peas in almost every color you can imagine. People seem to appreciate the patterns peas polka.

What was the request of a client or most memorable?
Once I customized tie tie embroidered with the letters on the front. It was a command fun and entertaining as I have reiterated many times since. I also order from many customers who send me their supplies. I remember one day received a parcel with inside fabric printed in green and lawyers, so I thought there would be no way to make pretty bow ties or neckties. Once the work is completed, I was pleasantly surprised.
I think that orders the most touching were those days of adoption. I learned only recently that the National Day Adoption fell in November. That day, volunteers work together to finalize thousands of adoptions at no cost. I once made a set of 5 shirts for five boys who were adopted together - a real pleasure.
What is the biggest challenge you face in your daily schedule ?
's all about balance. My day starts at 6.30am when I put my hat Mom and I prepare my son for school. Once I know the safe at school I head to the house to catch up my e-mail, drink lots of coffee and make my program work for the day. Then I sew for hours, preparing orders for shipping and get outside to go to the post office ..

In the late afternoon, it's time to get my son to school. Back at home, I enjoy spending time with him discussing his day at school then we take care of duties . My son is dyslexic highly , even if it is really bright, it needs a lot of tutoring. It is an incredible challenge to change lifestyle by moving from sustained work in the morning to find space Zen helps me support my child over homework, then relax and enjoy a family dinner. Usually the list of things I have to finish plays in a corner of my mind through all this. In general, I return to my studio in the evening for a night shift which often extends beyond midnight.
What do you most regarding the fact of no longer work as before? Is there something you regret?
I appreciate the opportunity to be there for my family. So I can attend all events in the life of my son and I have to ask permission to leave work early he is ill and needs to go home . I like the fact that my success or failure is in my hands. I can help volunteer at school and catch up on missed work by spending a little more time in my studio at night.

The structure of employment and people I miss. I'm pretty sociable, so work alone in my studio is a challenge in itself. I tend to disperse across a structure imposed on yourself does not come naturally. The hardest part, they are all the details related to business as the paperwork and accounting: not my strong point.
If you could go back, what advice would you give you or a person who wishes to follow a similar path?
I found myself thinking of an old proverb that I often heard my mother uttered: "Trust, but tie your camel." It a good warning. Remember to take care of you and your family. If you do not have a specific plan to cover expenses and put bread on the table, so keep your job until it is. Everyone is different, so find what works for you. My husband still has his work and there is an underlying sense of security that . Without his support, I do not know if I could reach that level.
Once you have a reasonable plan to be able to support themselves the necessities of daily life, take a step. You must believe in your success and work every day for that purpose Nothing is easy when you start in business.
Keep your working capital for operating costs. Etsy is a great area because you can actually test the water before diving into a significant financial commitment. I think it's best to let your business grow naturally. Buy expensive equipment or rent a space for commercial work up a recipe for disaster.

Prepare yourself for success. Do your homework, be organized and plan. Set your goals and make sure that your actions will help you achieve these goals . Make sure you know your costs of production ( and there are many hidden costs ) and set your price accordingly . What happens when you are so overloaded that you need to hire a (e) assistant (e) to meet the demand?
Find your way. Inspiration is everywhere, so it is very important to filter what you see and tap into your own creative universe . It seems that most of the largest stalls incredible Etsy have their own style. I think the customers know where your items are a reflection of your soul.
What are your future goals for Me and Matilda?
I thought about this question throughout the past year. I like a little personal connections when I work for a couple who is getting married on a tie and bow tie set for this special day. I like creating sets for families and I enjoy seeing my clients grow faithful wearing my creations . Many of my clients buy my items for a special event in their lives and try to keep this idea in mind during my confections. In truth, I'm not sure what the future holds for me. I like the idea of developing a sustainable business that could one day employ people in my community and add value to the local economy . Keeping a balance between the growth of his company and that on a personal level is very important. Stay tuned.

I think about fifty shops I love in a single glance. Here are a few:
- my sister's shop: DawnDalto is a must see. It's a very talented girl.
- Like PalomasNest for its simple and elegant style. She was one of my first clients knew Etsy, I doubt she can remember but I remember having loved his sense of aesthetics at the time.
- Another shop very pretty and I love known Rikrak .
- HomeGrownPillows confections for her adorable, high quality and style of its therapeutic pillows.
- Digitalsoaps is a boutique fun with great storage items for the holidays.
- I also Kittycrossbones supplies for its promotional and my friend Anne Hazelanne makes adorable skirts and dresses for women and children.
few words of wisdom to conclude?
A big thank you to Etsy to have been a great incubator that has helped many talented creators to find success. Without this, it would be much more difficult to bridge the gap between artisans and customers. So thank you to Etsy to give us a place to sing.

How Long For Pleurisy To Go
How this will end
In Brazil, tanks just posted themselves around the favelas of Rio and prepare to go into action! For those who have seen the exciting Brazilian film "Elite Squad" is not a surprise.
In France in recent years, the destruction of large bars HLM is supervised by prefects and reconstruction of scholarly obeys rules to facilitate the penetration of armor to core neighborhoods. Many books have been written about the preparation of the intervention of an army specialist for the day when the police will be classic "overwhelmed".
What a disaster the 2 sides!
The difference - size - between Brazil and France is at the heart of the problem: the unequal growth in the first and the inevitability of decay in the second, which is not the same thing.
In Brazil, I do not know how this will end. In Europe, I know: sooner or later, an opposition party is a great country to campaign for the release of the euro and the bankruptcy filing, he will win the election and will implement its program.
The euro will explode, and with it Europe. Will close the borders and protectionism will reinstall an economic model that has nothing to do with the current model. Impossible? The U.S. Southern states - an area greater than Europe - have been forcibly prevented the most brutal.
Will there a Grant or Sherman in neighboring countries to prevent secession? I doubt it. At least
simply that Ireland is an example from next January, imitated in this by Greece. If these Two countries declared themselves bankrupt, the euro would not survive well and each country will draw the consequences.

Tips for "Treasury"
How To maximum "Treasury"
The "Treasury" Treasures in French advertisements are free. Have I caught your attention? A "Treasury" in which I imagined had received over 13,000 visits. That means over 13,000 potential buyers that I will have achieved without this "Treasury". Of course, all the "Treasury" have not much impact, but there are several methods that allow a "Treasury" to achieve its maximum potential.
If you create the "Treasury" in question, make sure that the photos will draw the visitor's eye lambda. The first three articles will get a wide audience. Etsy says you should not put your own articles in the "Treasury" and should not submit several times the same seller. You can follow the example of the "Treasury" of the homepage. After creating the "Treasury" in question, save it and then send a message to each of the sellers being present there with a link to your "Treasury". Remember to add a link to the discussion EtsyMom that the group has established. Fortunately, members of other groups will lay a look, too.
If you're part of a "Treasury", always click on each item, leave a comment and share this link with your Facebook friends on Facebook and Twitter to help increase exposure. I usually comment on my comments on Twitter with # etsymom, so there is always a discussion in which you can see if you're new to Twitter. You can also try to reach your goal in terms of audience with tags like # baby, babyshower #, # and parenting. Do not be scared Twitter. It is as much of the free publicity. Each of you must have a Facebook page. They are also free, and fun! Take a trip to Malibu Quilts on Facebook, if you want to see an example.
As a group, it is worth checking every day and links to boost EtsyMom trafficking "Treasury" of members of our group. If you place a bookmark in a single click you're there. Do not forget to leave a comment and click on each article of the "Treasury" you visit. Here you will find the link to the list of "Treasury" of EtsyMom:
These steps can not guarantee a "Treasury" to be on the homepage of Etsy, but they will certainly give you quite a boost!
Application: "Etsy on Sale "
So you want to sell some or all of your items on Etsy but do not want to swallow up your time by changing text formatting each individual sale? I really can not blame you me either! Thanks to the kindness of some talented people who have felt the distress some of Etsy sellers in this case-including their own dismay, I am sure-and thus created an application called: Etsy on Sale (translated by Etsy to sell) . Etsy on Sale Shop allows holders to establish their products in a few easy steps, we'll see more detail in this article. With this simple tutorial this very useful application, you can easily put an item on sale in your shop, just in time for the sale of Black Thursday EtsyMom! For more information on the sale Black Thursday, take a ride on the wire Discussion from our forum here: : http://etsymom.socialgo.com/forum/topic/248 !
- The first thing you need to do is find the application "Etsy is dirty." You can also search the Google search engine or find it on Etsy.
- To find it on Etsy, first log into your account. Once identified, go to "Your Etsy " , then browse the left hand column below of " Resources" and click "Featured Apps " . You will have the application " Etsy on Sale" very top of the list!
- Then click " SELLERS" top right of the page to log this time using your Google account. You do not have a Google Account? You'll need it, so go ahead !
- Sign in and select your store. Some of you will choose between several of their shops.
- Pus you will select your "Time Zone" (time zone). This action will allow your future planned for sale at the correct time you want. You will also need to allow the application to access your store so that it can offer for sale selected items. Do not worry ... it's a secure page !
- Once these steps are successfully completed, click " done" . You have chosen and your shop and items to be programmed.
Schedule a Sale
- Now you will schedule a sale, click on "Events Sales " . You see that you have no sale of programmed. Well, it's time to start! Click "+ New Sales Event" .
• Complete information for sale and click on "Schedule Sale" down. Simple and easy. Now you have a sale of programmed, either for now or later! (The print screen below shows a few for sale that I have programmed using the application "Etsy on Sale.") Once the sale begins programmed, Your prices and titles will automatically change to whatever you've decided to schedule. Similarly once the sale is completed, all details will remain at their original description .
- To edit the information in a sale, just click on the name of the sale that you want to edit. Do not forget to click "Save (save) when you're done!
- To start put up for sale earlier, click the green play symbol symbol green play at the end of the list for sale. To stop a sale, click on the symbol of black stop at the end of the list. You can also delete the list by clicking on the red X-shaped always at the end of the list .
That's it! Your set-sales are planned. Everything is ready. It's the end!
I hope that you will and not only helped to put in your sales within the group EtsyMom, but for all, absolutely all your future software sales! If in the future you have any suggestions or requests for a tutorial or about the monthly newsletter of EtsyMom, please leave us a message ... it was Meagan - Baby Swank, Nikki - Nikki Rae Ink, and Maite - Tamsy Trends! I just started a blog, because is often suggested to improve its business and it sounds fun. But I have a huge number of members: 13 ... How can I get more members?
Besides my friends and my family, original readers (ie prospective members) can find you via the "Next Blog" at random.
Some discover your blog by searching a search engine, according to the topics you addressed in your blog.
Others will find you because you are yourself a member of another blog. What I call "the circle of bloggers."
Use a hit counter to your blog. Flagcounter, Sitemeter and StatCounter are free and I have been recommended by others. I use Google Analytics to my Etsy page and my blog. Although truth be told, I'm still a horrible, terrible, bad blogger and not good at all.
I liked the idea that "Facebook" is an avenue for many eyes to see my items for sale on Etsy.
If you're active on Facebook on a personal level and have not yet set up a page pro, I encourage you to try FB as a very useful tool. after enough members, give a gift. Cross promotions on your blog and your FB page. Give the opportunity to become a member on your page and add module "love" on your FB page.
Here are some tips I found:
1. Put links to your friend (s) on your blog, whatever the relevance of your blog.
2. Participate in forums, whatever the relevance of your blog, and insert your URL.
3. Comment on other blogs. If you say anything useful and relevant and do not just peddle info , the blog owner and other readers will have to check your blog .

5. Some search engines will index you are using the feed from your blog. Make sure it is enabled.
6. Post frequently and regularly while ensuring that reading your articles to be interesting and entertaining.
7. Disable comments. The blogs that have articles with 0 comments denigrating the content and value to readers. If there is no place for comments, readers will not know that only your Mom reads your blog.
8. Invite experienced bloggers to write small articles for your blog. This flatter bloggers more experienced and you will also ensure a link on their blog very heavily monitored.
Good luck! Have questions about life, love, business, education? Or a matter of sentimental while you do business, educate your children or simply trying to maintain your life?? Thank you for sending your questions to lettermethis@yahoo.com .

Featured Etsy Shop
The saleswoman Etsy Featured this month Kathy is Hoelzlhammer IS, talent behind CraftsbyKASH ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/craftsbykash ). A lover of sewing, she did a magnificent job in giving new life to yoke or scraps of fabric, usually those that are left behind or after her sewing.
Tell us about yourself
I was a housewife during the 28 years my wedding and I have 4 children who are large (but not yet all left home!). Our only son, who is 28, is also the oldest. He has three younger sisters, aged 22, 22 and 21 years. No, it's not a typo. I binoculars.
What do you create or offer in your Etsy shop?
Right now I'm in a transitional phase. I made knitwear, clothing, doll quilt from time to time, bags and purses.
How did you get started in this business?
I sew! Even since I was little, I made clothes for dolls and clothes for me too. When my husband and I were married, I started making cloth dolls. I did a lot and have started taking up too much space! My Mom m''a suggested selling them on a flea market. I made just for experiment, and this experience proved very positive.
After moving to Green Bay, I decided to make a small exhibition in a gallery. That's where I was hooked on sale! I almost sold all of what I did! After about ten years spent there, we moved to Wisconsin Rapids where I was born. There, raise my kids took all my time. (I was "Mom Bus or taxi driver ... it speaks to you?) As you know, trends and tastes change over time and I had to adapt to these changes to find the right niche. My sister has discovered Etsy, and also helped me to begin an interesting journey into the world of internet sales!
Where do you find inspiration?
It's hard to explain. Sometimes I do not know myself. Sometimes, inspiration comes from a song. Sometimes it just a reflection of a client or just out of necessity or as a need for my personal use.
What is the item you prefer at this moment in your shop?
Without a doubt, my favorite is the "Bucket Bag"! This is an original creation that I made long ago and I have given to the style of the day! It can have both utility and because it is lined, this makes it even more attractive, plus it is machine washable! What do you want more!
How do you promote your work?
Promotion is what has been the hardest for me. I love creating. I finally joined Facebook (using my real name and not my shop), and I did the promotion in discussion forums on Etsy. I put a link to the blog, www.honoringtheking.com ,

and try to find other means. I do not have a blog (I did not know what it was until recently.) It was a rewarding experience throughout.
What was the most important lesson you've learned since you have your shop and what advice would you give someone just starting?
Never give up! If God gave you the opportunity to do that, then you must hang. I know that one time or another, it will pay. Also, "try and make mistakes, but why not try." We all creations that do not work or have a defect. That's creativity. This is an experiment until you find the solution so Happy Creations and Create with your heart!

How To Make Facial Mask With Vegetable Oil
Supplication to Moody's (or Standard & Poor's)
Considering:
The surge in government debt for 30 years
The low share of residents
The very high level of public deficits
The dead weight of public expenditure in the French economy
Failure the education system and integration
Gratuitous violence that fires at every opportunity in the country
The inability of trade unions and opposition parties to understand the smallest economic rules
The government's failure to govern and reform.
Would it be possible to see things in front of us and remove the Triple A is no longer justified?
The sharp increase in interest rates that will follow us strangle the beginning, but with the help of the IMF we will, I believe, to behead the hydra of state slowly killing the country since 30.
1815, 1871, 1914 and 1940: 4 periods of our history in just over a century when France fell to the lowest, and she was able to recover at a rate that has surprised his harshest critics.
But we need to touch it the bottom and feel the weight of our sins.
We can not do it without you! Thanks in advance

Economic Trends
Heard at the fair investment forum at the Palais des Congres at Porte Maillot in September. Still valid, right?
China will overtake the U.S. in 2030 to become the first world economic power. The United States has no chance of keeping global leadership. The change in world leadership is something that does not happen often, and this is often accompanied by war.
The strength of the speculation remains intact: tax havens, trading banks. Speculation has moved on the currency market and rising raw materials premières.La will condemn people in poor countries and may cause riots difficult to control.
The systemic crisis is not over, we are still in the middle.
should get the growing where it is, ie Asia.
The Euro is the variable adjustment of world currencies. Eurozone can not do much to contain a rising euro, especially as a few months ago, the Euro was in danger and it is difficult in this context to complain of a rise point of the Euro.
